It Must Be
It Must Be Marsden – The Royal Marsden is world-leading.
We want NHS England and the Government to choose The Royal Marsden at Sutton to continue to be the centre for children’s cancer services for South London and South England. This will retain The Royal Marsden’s cancer expertise, life-saving research, modern facilities and accessible location – and mean it continues to provide the best clinical outcomes and patient experience.
Please join our campaign so that children and young people with cancer can continue to receive the very best treatment, care and experience at The Royal Marsden at Sutton.

Consultant at the Royal Marsden at Sutton:
“I started on paediatric care and even now at 23 I’m still having clinics at the Children’s Oak Centre with the Teenage and Young Adult team. The work that the Royal Marsden at Sutton do is incredible – saving my life twice and countless other people’s lives. The Oak Centre made me feel at home, and I’ve been lucky to have been treated and have ongoing treatment with this trust and hospital. I’m here because of them.” “Having worked at many hospitals during my career, I am in no doubt that the care delivered to patients at The Royal Marsden at Sutton is, by a large margin, the best anywhere. In the heart-breaking situation that any of my own children needed oncology care, I would fight to ensure they were cared for at The Royal Marsden at Sutton in its dedicated oncology environment.”

Jane, mum of Amelia:
“My daughter Amelia was cared for in The Marsden at Sutton until the wonderful team could do no more for her.
The care and compassion shown to Amelia up to her death was remarkable. Even more remarkable were the parents and young people in the Teenage Cancer Trust Ward, who viewed this as their home. This is a vitally important community. If they need to, they should build an ITU at Sutton so the Marsden at Sutton can continue to offer this crucial level of support.”
